It was a regular night. I was at the Cellar. I am not sure why I even feel the need to tell this story, except that it was a little bizzare.I'd bumped in to the 'it' comedy celebrity couple on the way to the Cellar. I was greeted by the door men. I went in to the cafe and sat with Sherrod Smalls. In came Chris Rock. The manager pulled him aside, right after he ordered his dessert, and said some one wanted to meet him.
Of all people, it was Super Nanny. I don't think there were introductions of her real name. Chris and Sherrod just kept calling her "Super Nanny". It was so weird. Out of body, really. I watched Super Nanny super-fawn over super-comic, Chris. He took it all in stride though and calmly ate his dessert while Sherrod cracked numerous jokes.
At one point, Super Nanny went to the bathroom while Ardie Fuqua performed. "super nanny, Super Nanny...come here!" he said. When the show ended and Super Nanny was still in the can, Fuqua said, "well, I guess Super Nanny is taking a super-shit." Charming, really.
